Asset based communities is the buzz word in this five part instructional DVD produced for the Uniting Church Care Organisation (UCCO).

In June this year, the UCCO contacted The Picture Mill looking for ways to help spread the word on how communities should be more efficient at helping older people in the community. To date a series of lectures had been performed with Powerpoint presentations by lecturer Ted Smeaton in a number of communities. However funding to continue this way was quickly drying out.

The lectures were turned into script form & the presenter filmed at the UCCO premises in Glen Waverley using a portable green screen. Then with extensive use of stock images & filming of various segments, a comprehensive instructional DVD was produced. We are happy to say the client is delighted with the result & now uses the DVD (which also contains PDF & Word documents) exclusively to show how asset based communities work.
