Bringing Europe to Australia for APT

In October 09 we spent 12 days filming for APT (Australian Pacific Touring) on the Amalegro, one of their fine cruise ships, journeying from Budapest in Hungary to Nuremberg in Germany.
During this time we filmed some magnificent scenery & a group of very happy (& very cooperative) passengers taking in the sights, sounds & the taste of Europe from exciting cities such as Vienna to quaint villages like Durnstein in Austria.
The brief was to show life on & off the cruise ships for the next release of the Europe River Cruising DVD & the creation of TV commercials to be aired during November 09. All footage was shot in HDV on a JVC GYHD111E camcorder.

Budapest at dusk & the Amalegro cruising past Durnstein

Our thanks goes to the passengers who made a tough job easier by helping us out & being great fun to be with. In fact I think they were sorry to see us leave at Nuremberg. The cruise ship BTW carried on for the rest of its journey through to Amsterdam in Holland. Our thanks also goes to APT’s studio manager, Julie Molea, for putting together the shoot schedule & taking care of all the organisation that allowed us to concentrate on getting the shots. We will update you when the footage has been logged & TVC’s are completed.
